Conference of Youth for Rio+20

The UN CSD Major Group of Children and Youth are happy to announce that we have decided on the dates for our official preparatory event for Rio+20. It is going to be called the Conference of Youth for Rio+20 (aka Youth Blast for English participants) 

Thousands of young leaders from around the world will converge on the Conference of Youth for Rio+20 in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) to share their skills and prepare for the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20). 

The Major Group of Children and Youth have decided to hold two days of preparations (National Conference of Youth for Rio+20) for the thousands of interested Brazilian young people in Portuguese. If you want to register please click on this link:http://uncsdchildrenyouth.org/rio20/youth-blast/ 

This will be followed by two days of international preparations and we will also hold one day closer to Rio+20 --date to be confirmed soon (same registration form: http://uncsdchildrenyouth.org/rio20/youth-blast/) 

The purpose of the Youth Blast (aka Conference of Youth for Rio+20) is to empower children and youth present at Rio+20. The goals of the Conference of Youth is to provide information and training for leaders around the CSD and provide a space for young people to share best practices for implementing solutions and participating in decision-making at the international level. It is also an event to strategise prior to Rio+20
